Eyeliner cocktail

Wow, I’m being sucked in by something else! Motorsports Models is consuming my thoughts. Just like Mary Kay did a few years ago.
I was introduced to a Mary Kay lady and bang whoop zip! I was hooked! I’d never even seen the product before, just knew the name.
I was initiated into the cult and bought my first stock pile of product before I tried on the first eyeliner. I mean I dove in deep! $1,200 worth of merchandise! I had parties and I was entertaining recruits when suddenly, I fizzled. Yep, something just hit me the wrong way. It was the way my director insisted that we buy our Holiday product in October before it runs out! The statement was “stock up now, because we’re going to run out by the end of the month”. Whoah! Wait a minute! How is a company as large as MK going to run out of Christmas product in October? I sensed the ploy and I was soured. MK didn’t make it’s money off of the customer, it made it’s money off of the sales ladies. The reason why they are the top selling brand is because they pressure the ‘Beauty Consultants’ to buy it all! There’s a lesson learned here and it’s something I left out of my story. Never do anything so drastic while on pain killers. I was taking Hydrocodone for my back when I dove in deep. Everything felt so right and so good. It felt good to be part of a group and I loved it! Guess when I fizzled… after my physical therapy was over and I didn’t need the Pain Killers anymore.
But let me tell you why Motorsports Models is different. It’s mine, I work for myself, I’m not lining anyone’s pockets and I’m under my own pressure. I really enjoy doing the things that I’m doing. Let me clarify… I love working with these girls! I want to find more like them and that sounds fun to me too! I love taking pictures and editing and improving my website. I like working with the Client I have now to find out what his vision is and making it come to life. I’m not on Pain Killers or any other mood enhancing drugs other than my Prozac. I’m taking it slow and putting on the brakes. I’m holding myself back from running to the track and collecting clients before I can handle them. I think I found a niche here on the East Coast that has not been filled. I can find enough clients at the track by my house to keep me and my girls busy.
