oooh jeeze I have to tell you... you know it's bad when you're afraid to fart!
I had/have the stomach flu starting on Thursday. I thought I was going to turn inside out! I started vomiting around midnight on Thursday morning and it just got worse from there! I drug my ass into work that day only to give up an hour in and drug my ass home. I really wanted to be there because my counter part E is on vacation for two weeks. But I just couldn't do it. By Thursday night the stomach cramps had subsided enough so I could at least drink some gatorade. So as of now, I only have revenge butt. Yeah, I'm still afraid to fart but I just call it a rapid weight loss plan.
Hubby and I still managed to celebrate our anniversary yesterday! We kicked Jim out and enjoyed a (almost) whole day to ourselves. It started out by waking early enough to enjoy the day. I gave him his anniversary gift of which I was very proud of finding. It is a sandwriter. It's a pendulum held up in a tripod that swings around and makes designs in a plate full of sand. I wanted to give him something that wasn't consumable, that wouldn't be sold with a car, that he could look at 50 years from now and remember where we were on our 5th anniversary. He said that at first he wasn't sure if he liked it but now he can't stop playing with it.
He gave me my anniversary gift the day before. He wanted to make me feel better because I was so sick. He gave me a set of emerald earrings. These things are huge! I feel bad because he didn't give me a gift on our actual anniversary and I asked him about it. I feel really bad because I didn't give him a gift on the actual day either. It just snuck up so fast. But that's not an excuse. It all worked out though. Because if I had given him his gift and he didn't have one to give back, I would have been upset. Anyway, I can't find a picture on the net of what they look like. They are truly unique. I will have to take a picture!
We took a road trip to a grocery store far away and shopped for provisions. We have a tradition of eating fondue on our anniversary. It really is very good and enjoyable to prepare and sit down and share a meal like this. We picked up fondue stuff and some other goodies. We made the mistake of going through the pet supplies isle. Giant has more food and toys for animals than petsmart! We bought more stuff for the animals that we did for ourselves. But we had a lot of fun going through and playing with all the toys!
The rest of the day was great! We played with the animals and watched tv and ate and had good times. I passed out around 11:30. I wanted to stay up and hang out longer I was just too exhausted!

Now, that's my kind of anniversary! I'm relieved it all worked out and your stomach cooperated for a while :)
Sounds like a perfect day...except for the you know what.
So, Happy Anniversary! I do love green bling.
Thanks ya'll! It was a perfect day. God knows we don't get many of them.
