In my line of work one dollar bills are inevitable. Fact is one dollar bills are great in abundance! Love them! I love them more when I can cash them into twenties or hundreds. However, when I can’t cash them into larger bills they tend to pile up.
A lot.
When I can’t hunt down a cocktail waitress or get to the bar to cash in those little paper notes I take them home.
There, I count them and separate them into stacks of twenty.
Then put them away for later.
When later comes I’m stuck with stacks of one dollar bills.
Honestly, paying for anything over ten dollars with one dollar bills you tend to get the raised eyebrow. Particularly in my neck of the woods where strip clubs are abundant…. And the bills are covered in glitter, lipstick or whatever else.
I dread getting gas during a rush hour morning and shelling out forty dollars in ones… or a twenty dollar bill and the rest ones.
Some clerks ask what I do and I tell them I'm a waitress. Then they ask where and I get flustered... Ummm Cracker Barrell!
I try to give them out in little increments. Fast food lunches, coffee, tipping wait staff, groceries or give them to my hubby for spending. He doesn't mind helping disperse the ones.
When we bought a new couch and we got rid of the old one.. guess what I found under the cushions? Two quarters and ten pennies? NOPE…. ONE DOLLAR BILLS a penny and some popcorn.

all I ever find under the cushions is cat toys and, once in awhile, the remote. i'd be thrilled to find a single "one."
